Tman........do I have to teach you everything.......It is a no no to start a topic in Doug's hangout....without the word Doug in it.     Sorry it's an unwritten rule that you were probably not aware of.  Only you can change that.......see if you can.

Pricing depends on your costs and what the market will bear in your area. Where do you live?

Research the market. Find out what other people are charging. Figure out your costs. Determine a price.

You could also take a course called Strategies for Success put on by Jon-Don. They will teach you everything you need to know about running a carpet cleaning biz.

You could also purchase a program from BRC Systems, which is similar to SFS, but you have to figure it out yourself. I would take SFS first.

In my opinion SFS is the best money you could ever spend on a system for running a CC biz, hands down. You will not regret taking this course

sad part is about the original question

is that prices haven't changed much around here in the last 7 years.

in fact the largest co. is $10 cheaper for 5 rooms than he was 6 years ago when I worked there

Our prices have gone up 40% in the last 10 years. We were way too cheap when we entered the market full time

Date Posted: 02/June/2005 at 11:57pm

my prices have gone up twice in the last 2 years

I was talking about the cleaners in my area

not myself

Sears is the biggest here. He just keeps raising his prices. He won't even honour their national advertising prices. I like that.
