i have to clean an area rug thats hand made,100%nylon face yarn and its shag.at least two inches.it says dry clean.what can i use? ------------- JCOOPER |

Can you not take it out of the home and dry clean it your self. I never heard of a shag that had to be cleaned by dry cleaning. Can you imagine the dust mites and dirt that accumulates in a shag. Might check to be sure that the backings aren't natural fibers. I know Unique Carpets makes a lot of extremely expensive shag rugs and wants them dry cleaned although it isn't necessary. |

jstooper: You have been given a very large amount of advice. It has become apparent that if you yourseld do not understand the question, how can you possible understand the answer. The boards are no substitute for experience and education. Everyone can try to assist, but you have to know if you have the ability to undertake the job. Good people are trying to help you, but they can only attempt to assist you with answers based on the information you present them . If you can't describe you problem than you may be getting the wrong information. I am not from the us so I am not moving at this time.
