Subject: Off topic, I rented a Hemi
Date Posted: 21/April/2005 at 12:17am

I rented a Chrysler 300C when I was in Nova Scotia a few weeks back. The car lists out at about $45000 friggin fully loaded with a 345HP Hemi.

I normally cant stand Chrysler product bet let me tell you this thing has a 5 speed automatic. When you are doing about 60K and kick it to the floor holy sh*t you better hang on....it felt like my old 1970 Chevelle with the 350 and big 4Brl carb....LOL or my '86 Firebird.

long story short I got to give credit to Chrysler....oh ya if you're doing 80K and kick it down it's not long before you're up to 140... the speedo stops at 260 but hell it's not worth it with the family in the car eh

Anyway I think I want a Hemi now.....Actually I would prefer the original 426 Hemi from the 1970's.

Rick,

You're making too much money. All CC'ers should be driving wrecks from the '70's.

I have teeth so I'm not speaking from experience, but I've had some pretty tender steaks and roasts.

Cooking is not my specialty. I try to cook steak but I never really know if it will be tender or tough until I sink these babies into it.

Look for the marbling in the meat when you are at the grocery store or buy from a good butcher shop.

Marbling is the white lines through the meat. I guess it is fat. Take a close look at a steak next time you are shopping.

I love a good piece of meat cmaster, my kids hate the fat and to this day I have to cut it off for them. By the time I am finished there's this small piece of meat sitting on there plates and they look at me as if to say that's all.  Keep in mind how old these kids are, I give up and tell them to cook for them selfs.

Bring them to the cupboard, pull out the pot and give 'em a whack upside the head with it. They will remember next time. Or not.

Good Idea, I will have to go to Canadian Tire and purchase one. I don't usally have to reach for anything I just call one of the boys and they get it for me.

I NEVER make enough money...but I did pay off my '99 Dodge van with my Prochem machine in it...so that took $800.00 a month off of me and we were able to afford to get the HEMI...it's our only other ride...my better half drives it most of the time...she lets me drive it if I get it washed and put gas in it...and to those of you driving a '60's car...I would love to have a '69 Plymouth GTX with a HEMI in it...we use the new truck on weekends in our "other" business...we sell sunglasses at weekend shows, ballgames etc...it's a great little business...we set up on a Saturday morning...along with other vendors...spend the day selling and make about $700.00 to $1,000.00 per weekend...March-Aug...and then Sept-Nov at college football games where we make even more...down South, we go to football games in shorts and tee shirts all the way up to December......
