Read the thread" Kleen Kuip is now Master Distributor" to find out how Lisa and Greenie have been suckering all those nice carpet cleaners from the ICS Board and John's Blue Board into paying out $169 to $199US for their glides, all the while explaining that she must get that price to make it worthwhile for them to do it. And who can forget her posting on this board that she has never changed her pricing on these glides since they started selling last year. Yet 20 to 30 carpet cleaners in Arizona were able to buy these same glides direct from them in Tempe AZ about a month ago when they were selling them there direct for the $99 price at a customer appreciation day there. I would say that several hundred people have been over-paying on their Glides these last 5 months.

Selling or reducing prices during a promotion or show is not bad
business. It is common practice and good business . Your regular price
has to have enough built in to be able to do whatever it takes to market
and promote your product and have profit left.
On the other Hand Kennie,
Selling direct from the manufacturer to an end user via ebay with a
reserve less than the dealer retail is definitely undercutting your
complete dealer network. Unless dealers are told upfront that you are
going to market in this manner, I as a dealer would be P.O'd.....JMHO

Dan: I don't do that. I have never sold direct to end users on ebay and never will. Only established distributors can do that. I have no financial interest in any off them. Distributors buy glides from me from prices starting at $100 to down to under $50 depending on their monthly buy volume. What prices they sell at after that is their business. Those that sell by the internet are free to sell whereever they chose.

Lisa and Greenie sell through both with the majority done retail. I sell 83% of my glides from my US distributors. 10% more is done internationally. Only 7% are done from my website at retail into the US market. My prices on the site are generally higher than those charged at my distributors, so only a very small percentage takes place there. It will be even less when I have my distributor base over 200 by next month sometime.

Ken, the guy who has sold a million versions, for all different prices and a week after making one glide calls his old version "last weeks" obsolete?
Then says he can sell them for $50.00? How do you justify SCREWING som many people, using YOUR logic?

Ken,
We did not sell those glides direct at Allen Equip. in Chandler, AZ. They made a special offer to generate interest in the glides and we offered to come in person to demo, install and answer questions. Every sale was done through Allen Equipment and they set the sale price, not us. Call them and ask Dave at 480-961-5307. I have the invoice to them to prove it.
Bite me.
I don't undercut my distributors, and they make a fair profit carrying our glides and so do we. We also sell direct on our website, at suggested retail price. No one is undercut. Tell me how you have decided where most of our sales come from Ken? You haven't a clue.
I prefer not to get nasty here. In fact, I even stood up for you over the wand fiasco and confirmed your story. Believe me you have left a trail of bitter, angry people in your wake, Ken, and I hear their stories ever day, but I don't post them. Be glad I have more integrity than most.
Take care,

He told me that you and Greenie just showed up at that CAD unannounced with a briefcase of glides and that he had no idea that you were coming there. So someone's story does not line up here. Remember that Allen equipment was only selling glides for us before you showed up. You are the one that tried to take the business away from us.I had given them excellent pricing already, so they had no reason to deal with your glides at all. But I will find out where the truth lies before I am done.

If you were invited in with your glides, then it is Allen that owes me an apology. Quite a different story than you just "showing up" as I was told. That was why I was mad at you. I know about them John as I had them first 2 years ago when I was experimenting with adding glides on wands. $40 bucks may seem cheap, but it is not if it does not work properly. My Superglides last at least 5X longer, clean better, dry carpet better and can be bought for $40 to $99. They are hands down a better buy. You can buy one right here at Kleen Kuip for about $95US or can bid for one on ebay that one of my distributor is selling for only $39.99. The choice is yours to make.

ladies & Gentlemen;
Here is my take on the thread that Ken started, if you are interested in reading:
First: IMHO, an honorable manufacturer would never make that direct a comment in regards to their competition. Helping someone, or defending one's position is one thing; however, this was pathetic.
Second: As someone who has entered the manufacturing arena, as Greenie and Lisa have done in an honest effort to help this Industry and provide them with Glides that really work, and deliver on that promise, perhaps having a lower Introductory price would not at all be uncommon (if that is what it really was) because their effort would be to get their product out in the market at a teririfc cost and value to the Professional Cleaner. Not being familiar with production costs, as they keep refining & improving their product (which I believe Lisa/Greenie have done btw) , it is not uncommon to label it with a more justafiable cost that will benefit both parties.
In the end, the difference is peanuts for a much improved product that will out perform "the other guys"!
Kenny should know that "CHEAPER isn't ALWAYS BETTER".
Finally, IMHO, Ken, I would suggest that you keep your nose to the grind stone and stop this childish non-sense with your competition, Lisa & Greenie. You might be running high today because of Ted's generosity and help; but tomarrow you may end up sucking hind titty. A lesson (hopefully) we all have learned...........................except perhaps you?

Ed: Your comments are totally off-base; again. Lisa and Greenie are the one's with the second rate product here that they copied from me. Seems to me that you know that feeling of someone copying one's product very well yourself. LOL. Their reason for doing it has got very little to do with helping the industry, cause I already had that covered and still do. It had to do with the money to be made instead. It does not cost more than $40 to produce a glide in quantity. If you charge even $169 for selling them, you make over $100 on each one, even allowing for FREE shipping of them to the customer. If you sell 200 of them per month, that is OVER$20,000US profit PER MONTH. If you think otherwise, you really don't know Greenie as well as I do. I had conversations with him on this point, and he admitted to me that he is mainly in this for the money. Take that away, and he is gone. That will happen, wether you know it or not. Just watch.

BULLsh*t Ken, I have seen MANY of your glides, many are not much more than CRAP, you know it, I know it, many others know it, you have NOT paid attention.
Ken, how can you say ANYTHING? You have stated here that you are in this JUST FOR THE MONEY, and they you make those types of claims against competitors, who make BEAUTIFUL glides and CONSISTENTLY product quality which you can only dream about as you SIT THERE in front of your computer.
What you FAIL to understand Ken is that the industry DID HAVE A NEED, a need for an HONEST REPUTABLE glide manufacturer, that you were UNABLE to supply.
Look at YOUR past prices on glides Ken and then get off this holier than thou kick about what others charge, at least when people order from them they GET them and only get their cards run for what they OWE.
You can type, post, talk and do whatever you want, but YOUR past and YOUR reputation is simply catching up to you. This could ALL have been avoided had you been honest and fair with people.

Well the answer on that is clear enough. Unless you like paying over $120 more for a product that works no better, our glide is the one.
Will it be $39.95 or $169.00?
It is tough making choices when the one that does not work any better either in cleaning and drying is over 4X More expensive is it not?

Wrong again John. All people that had a problem with a glide or got one that was made obsolete got another another one sent to them for free. I did that over 800X last year. It cost me a lot of money to do that, but I stood behind my product and backed it up. In some cases, I upgraded glides for people up to 4 times without charge, like I did for steamin pile. I've have never tried this super glide, I live in Dallas Tx, and up till the other day, no one down here will admit to buying one. I did however talk to a guy in Maine that purchased one, and he said it was a piece of crap, would not get close to walls, and keep getting clogged up, and didn't make the job any easier. The main reason I would have even thought about buying one would be, because it would make carpet cleaning easier, but still clean the carpet. Then when I found out that he made them for the RX-20 I though WHY? I've never had any problem pushing the RX-20 around, unless their was no elect., then I try not to use the RX-20, so why would you buy this for a RX-20 or better yet, why invent it for the RX-20. Maybe he is in it for the money, and whats wrong with admiting to that, Thats why I clean carpet. So I think about the quality of the product and the person sell the item, I notice under kens name he also sold the turbo duct cleaning piece of crap, and I know that for a fact, I purchased one, It sounded great moved alot of air, and had the ease of being put on your truck mount hose(just make sure you glue it on or it will come off) anyway after doing a few jobs I just didn't feel it was working, so I had a friend with a camera that would go into the vent and take a look, after seeing that it just made a lot of noise, and cleaned nothing, I went back and refunded the money on the jobs I did, I think it is just a marketing ploy, try to be honest and build a good product the first time, and if its not then don't push on people with dishonesty
