Only days away before Ted will have this latest innovation, our testing has been an eye opener for us, cleaning without detergents never thought I would endorse it, but the results from our testing have been outstanding. We have tested in the following applications.

Bonnet Cleaning

Pad Cleaning

Cimex Scrub and Run

Steamin Demon

Truckmount , Prespray and/or last minute metering

This product sounds great, sounds like Don has put it to all the test and I trust his judgment.

There are other detergent free products on the market, is the Chemspec product different than anything else we have seen?

Posted By: Jim Darling
Date Posted: 16/March/2005 at 2:02pm

i am only familiar with a product sold in the UK. They use a phosphate as a base. We use none of this - only edible ingredients

i am unfamiliar with other products and so can't comment. This will be the first product in Canada recognized by the Environmental Choice folks under the new CCD 148 standard

Jim   Thanks for letting us be one of the guinea pigs in developing this amazing product.

You are aware of a few problems we had in my largest C.A.M. account and this product has solved that problem, and helped me land 3 new maintenance contracts and I am sure more to come once I get out there and promote DFC cleaning.  The health and safety factor in these large buildings that seemed to be a non issue for many a year is now starting to pick up momentum and ears perk up when you talk about detergent free cleaning and I can see the day when more products of this nature will rule the cleaning game.

Just back from a tough cleaning situation and all we did was meter the product through my truckunit with good hot water and cleaned carpet and sofas in this place and they looked great when we finished, on the other truck that uses pre-kleen only, I played a little trick and gave them a sprayer with DFC in it and said nothing, just asked Chris at the end of the job if anything was different and he said no, so I told him he had just cleaned with the DFC product and he was amazed.

Great results so far, you have a real winner.

cleanex,

Is it procyon that this whole thread is about? Or is something else being
talked about, I'M not certain?? Just wondering?

I have used Procyon   exclusively for the past 10 years or so. I love it.

Posted By: cleanex
Date Posted: 17/March/2005 at 4:18pm

It is DFC105 from Chemspec, {Detergent Free Cleaning }not PROCYON. a totally new concept in cleaning, will be released very soon.

We have been testing this product for Chemspec in all aspects of our carpet cleaning systems, and with a few minor changes from the first formula, the 105 version has been real successful.  We look forward to going GREEN CLEAN, and at the same time saving a lot of money in chemical costs.

Get some and try it for yourself as soon as your nearest Chemspec distributor has some in stock.

Procyon advertises " Soap Free detergent " I believe.

DFC you are saying is detergent free.

Or are they playing games with terms to sell product. Just wondering??

DFC contains NO SURFACTANTS

Posted By: danmarck82
Date Posted: 18/March/2005 at 2:06am
Are Surfactants not required to separate the soil from the fiber?

Posted By: cleanex
Date Posted: 18/March/2005 at 11:40am

Apparantly not with this new formulation, no surfactants, no solvents, no nothing common to most detergents you presently use. We have used over 50 gallons in our testing, so this was no small test program, 1000's and 1000's of sq. ft. of carpet cleaned.

Price is right, safety is 100%. Safe through all equipment, will not harm pumps etc. Odourless, first real GREEN CLEAN product I have seen in 38 years in this business.

If you look on another board some of the manufacturers in the USA are getting concerned because they may need to take a longer look at their products and if a few bills get passed through the legislators they will need to revamp almost all their chemicals to a more user friendly status, and they are fighting it, they just don't care about the end user, just the almighty dollar.

Can't wait for it to hit the suppliers!

Zero KELVIN,

You seem to have a natural ability to pick up on shills. But you missed up bigtime implementing Don Eldred (cleanex).

If you knew Don you would know what I mean. Don calls a spade a spade. No beating around the bush. If he did not like Chemspec (DFC) the whole world would know it by now.

I will drink our bonnet / encap product. I have drank it for custys on many occasions to illustrate how very safe and non-toxic it is. It is called Xerion, Ted, you might want to contact these people and look into offering this stuff. It is a non-residual, crystallizing, neutral ph, non-toxic cleaner that I have used for about four or five years now. I love it. http://www.xerionsolutios.com - www.xerionsolutios.com .

Jim Darling will be back early this week as he has an IICRC class to instruct. He will answer all your questions regading D.F.C. as to liquid powder, 6 in 1, Heat, price, coverage per sq. ft. etc,. etc.

And of course he will answer the main question whether or not it can be used as barbeque sauce. Sounds like the world's first totally Enviro cleaning product. Whether it works or not will be up to you.

I guess you will have to buy some to satisfy your own mind.

P.S.
I find that when we offer a new Enviro product we have customers who want to take it to a totally never been cleaned trashed out carpet just to prove it does not work.

For those customers we have a roto tiller we can rent you.

Hi Ted

Thanks for looking out for me. i took a few days off with the family around Easter weekend. DFC is moving forward. It will be available in both liquid and powder forms. The liquid is designed for use in the extractor or truck mount and can also be used in all methods of low moisture cleaning such as Cimex, bonnet or OP

The powder product has been designed as a prespray product.

Some of you know that Don Eldred has been testing this material for over 4 months now. If you ask him he will tell you that his chemical cost has been significantly reduced in all methods that he cleans.

It is not carbonation, host or anything else our industry has seen before. DFC only contains ingredients approved by the FDA as suitable for ingestion. Mixed together these ingredients shoiw a terrific ability to clean.

Hope this helps

With all this food. What happens when the carpet dries?  What's left for residue?  What is the ph of this product?Guitar

Just My opinion

Posted By: cleanex

ph is between 7.0 to 8.0, no detergents involved so no need to worry about resoiling. In our commercial bonnet cleaning contracts we have seen no evidence of any resoiling, and many of these accounts have been cleaned several times so we are satisfied that there is no soil attracting ingredients left in the carpet.

things like zanthan gum.... or carreagean...or maybe a lactic acid stabilizer??...  how do you keep it from going bad???  you must also put some preservatives in it????

just because it's made with food ingredients means that its totally safe some food ingredients can kill you ...lol
