Mr. Steamer, Took a peak at your web page and it looks really nice. Just wondering aren't you skipping or skimping on your processes?

2 step process -- prespray -- rinse. That's it????

I pre-treat with a hydro-force...and then clean...simple...the real secret is in "well trained customers"...they all now feel if I can't get it out, then it will not come out...they don't queston my work anymore...

MR.Steamer, It's cool, 2-steps. It's your world up there. Superclean carpets, super happy custys. Your all good buddy.

1.Pre-vac

2.Pre-spray, dwell

3.Agitate traffic area's

4. Extract (rinse)

5.Groom to open up fibers for faster drying

6. Air mover, post bonnet for even faster drying

Now, you have to charge more for all these steps, but you will get far superior results.

Best, JL

Unfortunately we don't all live in La La land.  The real world constitutes what and how you have to do.  If you are in a large population where you have to survive on volume cleaning this is unrealistic.  Everybody  does not have an exclusive high end customer base who want to pay just to have your truck parked in front of their house.Guitar

Vacuum, prespray, and then OP provides the agitation and the cotton pads provide the soil pickup, then vacuum again. Get check go home...

John ... look at it this way... its better to say less and do more... if it's needed......

but if I do this on every call I would be wasting my time... say if the call didn't need all this it was new carpet .. I could get sued for false advertising

1.Pre-vac

2.Pre-spray, dwell

3.Agitate traffic area's

4. Extract (rinse)

5.Groom to open up fibers for faster drying

6. Air mover, post bonnet for even faster drying

I will do some of these thing if it's needed....

Your right fella, all that isn't necessary when its faily new or not that old. And if it's near dry before you leave.  Agitating, air movers , post-bonnet takes up more time.

JohnL: Padman is not refered to as fella.  Maybe you should go to his site and you will have a whole new outlook into carpet cleaning as we know it.Guitar

It's all good buddy, I respect you. Your the only one that knows the situation at your job and i know you and we all do our best. Otherwise some of us would of been out of biz a long time ago. The market usually deletes the shoddy operators.

Mr.Steamer my original post wasn't to offend you. I was just curious of the 2 step proccess and sometimes that's all that is necessary. no disrespect to you buddy.

A good conversationalist is not who remembers what was said, but who says what someone wants to remember. LOL

John,  how much water do your bonnets hold?  I've tried this before, but I didn't think that it really took out much water.

Thanks in advance.

Some guys around here also call the pre-inspection a step, as well as the post-clean walk through with the customer as another step.

I'm sure that with a bit of thought, you could easily come up with a 12 step program for carpet cleaners???

Cheers,

Allen

You will never stub your toe standing still. The faster you go, the more STEPS, the more chance there is of stubbing your toe, but the more chance you have of getting somewhere. LOL

Spar!! I was runner up at the USAP (united states army pacific) boxing tournament.   Boxing  Well, that was in 73, I'm not as tough now. And bar fights, well don't even want to go back in time. Them days are over.

Every man for himself, yep heard that before. And soooo true.

Posted By: PadMan
Date Posted: 28/February/2005 at 10:33pm

Actaully Doug, I love debate, don't cater to sparring unless a principle is involved. Truth is, "just who in the heck am I" to tear into someone. But when a principle is involved, well then gloves and bets are off...LOL

John, I am too old for that fighting stuff, had my fill, I am just a big old harry fuzzball now.
