keep your units from freezing up in the winter up there in the frozen areas...I'm in the south...Georgia, and we usually have fairly mild winters...mostly low to medium 30's...sometimes it dips into the 20's and teens...I just put a small electric heater in my truck and have had no problems

well Magicman Rick... my trucks are insulated with foam and parked inside out of the elements...I take the hoses and wand if the temp dips below -20*c.... if gets as cold at -40 I might put a heater on it...
but once the truck has been foamed and you keep it out of the cold wind... it has to get pretty cold to do any damage

I drive my truck to Georgia and park it there and some times when it dips to the low 20's I put a little heater in it

I was lucky in that we were able to take all our TM's off the truck and leave them over-nite in a small heated garage. Next morning; load them up and run.

Steamer;
No, ours were on wheels so we could easily roll them out. However, once in the truck, they were ankored down by metal turn buckels.

one side is for my truck... the other side is small and can only hold my car... my wife has to park out side in the winter...
I have to get up at 5 am to start and clean off her Van...

Hydra Master slide units used to be on a frame with wheels. It made repairs easier.

Rick, I 've been in your neck of the wood many times, I lived in Savannah for almost a year and Valdosta for 5 months. The worst place I'v lived was in Alabama, it's hard to breath there on a hot humid day,but the people are really nice, there I lived in Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, and Andalusia.

Steamer;
Absolutely it can work. In fact, you can even purchase a inexpensive winch that can stay in the van that will guide it down a ramp; or up it very easily!!!!

Rick, while I lived in Alabama, I had a childrens wear manufacture here in Montreal under the name of " Penny Lane "( took it from the Beatles song ) I used to copy designs from American manufactures make afew changes and introduce them into the Canadian market. I just fell in love with Alabama, the life style, and that special culture of its own. Georgia's nice too but it's not Alabama. Another nice place I lived was El Paso Texas, I used to love going over the bridge into Cludad Juarez Mexico, nobody has brakes on their cars in Mexico , what a place.............

nightrider...yes, I know...I miss living in Sweet Home Alabama...We get back over there as often as we can...I also have a sunglass business and I sell at the BAMA games...just an excuse to go to the games and go "home" for a while..it is amazing how close Georgia is to Alabama and yet is so very different...I have been down to Savannah a couple of times...like it down there too...those poeple are just plain wierd...but we always have fun when we go there...

Sweet Home Alabama
(Ed King - Ronnie VanZant - Gary Rossington)
Big wheels keep on turning Carry me home to see my kin Singing songs about the Southland I miss Alabamy once again And I think its a sin, yes
Well I heard mister Young sing about her Well, I heard ole Neil put her down Well, I hope Neil Young will remember A Southern man don't need him around anyhow
Sweet home Alabama Where the skies are so blue Sweet Home Alabama Lord, I'm coming home to you
In Birmingham they love the governor Now we all did what we could do Now Watergate does not bother me Does your conscience bother you? Tell the truth
Sweet home Alabama Where the skies are so blue Sweet Home Alabama Lord, I'm coming home to you Here I come Alabama
Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers And they've been known to pick a song or two Lord they get me off so much They pick me up when I'm feeling blue Now how about you?
Sweet home Alabama Where the skies are so blue Sweet Home Alabama Lord, I'm coming home to you
Sweet home Alabama Oh sweet home baby Where the skies are so blue And the governor's true Sweet Home Alabama Lordy Lord, I'm coming home to you Yea, yea Montgomery's got the answer
