Baloni Ken. I've said it before Labor cost is more than what a TM
uses for fuel. Your labor hours are considerably more useing a porty. Cry
TMs clean faster, dry faster, get to the next job or home faster. Cool
TMers are making more money by doing more jobs within the course
of the day, week, Month.
Hope you sell a truck load of them portys. But lets not get too silly!
What you haul your equiptment in is the REAL gas guzzler! Shocked

John;

If you are paying out money for labour I agree with you.

However if you are paying yourself from what is left after you pay everyone else it is a different story. For many one man operators the gas they feed the truckmount is their single greatest expense. Many operators pay out more than $1000.00/month these days. That easily exceeds the TM payment, all the chemical costs, and in most cases the advertising they spend on their business.And that is at $4.00/gallon! At $10.00/gallon this is only going to get much worse. I expect the USA to be at that price within 2 years from now. Some of the European countries are already there.

In New Orleans there are many locations especially the French Quarter Area that a TM is not an option. Thats why we carry a PORT on all of our vans at Nola Carpet Cleaning

I concur on that Ken. Your Vehicle is the biggest expense then advertising and chemicals then gas for the TM, well thats how it is for me for now. But if it hits $10
then its time to break out the porty with the little hoopty to do jobs..LOL
