Expanding into commerical and HWE both truck mount and porty is taking forever.

I would like to invest in a cimex, but before I spill the 2500 on a new one, anyone have any advice or offer me your opinion on it or any other machine like it.
I dont predict the future or sell glides, am I allowed on this site?

Nothing better, having said that there are a few OP machines that come close.
The problem with both is you may find an issue with warranties on some new installations.  They only want HWE or in some cases will allow counter rotating brush machines.

Cimex is a rock for commercial carpet. Faster, safe and gets excellents results with the right encapsulation product. If you can invest a few more dollars get the Big Boy Wheel kit as an upgrade, it's make a huge differrent. Finally if you are a one person operator get a ramp to loading an unloading the Cimex into your van, the 19" model is very heavy. Good Luck.-

I know how they work, well I know the theory.  I also know that when someone vacuums thats when the dirt is removed.

Do you guys vacuum after, or do you just let the companys staff do that?

I allways advice to the resident manager or the person in charge the very important role of the vaccuum step in the daily carpet care maintenance. They know that I am cleaning the carpet with an encap product which contains polymer technology, so they are responsable for the vaccumm process after my cleaning.

Whats a good price per sq ft for cimex.

Looking at the math, my butler was 40 grand, it takes gas, maintainance, traffic cleaner and a whole lot of time, and our average is 25 cents for commerical

A Cimex, at most to set up is 4 grand, the cleaner is a fraction of a cent per sq ft and man hours seems to be a fraction of what it takes for HWE (the cimex website says it takes 1/8 the time, and by watching the videos that looks about right), and your using the buildings electricity!

Are you still charging the same for cimex as you do HWE?

And what ecape product do you like the best?

First of all the Cimex is not alot faster when cleaning offices, is a little faster on open areas. Your chemical costs will go up a bit.
Some advantages are you will up and running a lot faster than setting up a truckmount. no security concerns with open doors, less wick backs, faster drying.
In our area .25 cents a sq ft would not get you to many jobs, if other companies where quoting the job.
Give your customer two prices  1. HWE $xxxxxx    2. Encap  $xxxxxx

Best Encap product  There are a few we love Spin Vac  from DSC.

Hi Jaymark1, as I said before if you are going to clean commercial carpet there is no better way than Cimex. Even in small offices where maybe is a little hard to move the machine around you can do that faster than regular HWE. This is just my personal opinion. Regarding the price I charge the same as a HWE(0.13 to 0.25 cents p sqf) in my case I really don't care what kind of the sistem I'm going to use to clean the carpet, I am the technician and I pick the sistem that I believe is going to work better for my customer acording the carpet type and situation. The most important is to get the optimun results for your customer so if you can do that with Cimex, Op, HWE, Host or Bonnet doesn't matter. You char

You charge the same.
If you are looking for a good encap product take a look Releasit DS (They have a web page) works so good for me.
Good Luck,

Pablo.- (www.bairescarpet.com)
