For removing stains the greasy, apply a dry cleaning solvent to the area in a small amount. Use a terry cloth to apply it. Blot off and then rinse. If there is still a residue there, you can add a bit of baking soda to the location and allow it to absorb the stain. Vacuum it off. |

Citrus Solvents are my favorite against oils. It works great, without the terrible VS or NVS smell. No headaches.

Solvents will loosen the latex glue used to bind the carpet leaving the area wrinkled from delamination. This could happen in minutes or months depending on the concentration. With any spot remover you want to start with a lower aggresive chemical and work your way up remebering to extract the area. If you want to remove some grease without breaking out your hoses then try a little wd-40 and blot with a white terry towel followed by a nuetral chemical like fiber rinse to blot rinse. If this doesnt work then use a gel type citrus spotter ( i only use OJ ) as the gel wont sink to the backing and rinse. If this dont remove it then its not grease.
But some ultra pac and the nike shuffle followed with a dry slurry rinse should be enough.

Being prepared for removing stains from your carpets is the best way to make sure that you will be able to remove the stain completely. Make sure that you have some basic stain removers in your cabinet so that you will be ready for that stain.

A de"grease"r such as ZEP citrus degreaser or
Castrol SuperClean De"GREASE"R work well
on oils and grease....!!!
Now ck this out..
The left/right side hasn't been done yet but wanted to show
what I'm saying.. And Yes it was rinsed very well.
Jels work great on tar gum and adhesive residue but
would of been expensive and time consuming on this
nasty greasy chinese mat..
