Hello everybody...and thanks for your help/info!
i recently moved to south florida..and aside from getting "a day job" i would like to get into carpet cleaning for cash/side money {eventually full time?)
back in the day i worked for someone that had a truckmount..and also helped out a different friend{and watched him make a bunch of money} with a portable
dont mind the work and think its a good opportunity for me...
im  set on a portable, as my pick up is my only vehicle right now and i dont want to permanently make it  a work truck {maybe after im getting rich and can buy another vehicle ill make it the work truck with a t/m ;) }
ive seen similar posts but most of the replies are older and im sure there are new machines and opinions out there....
planning to market to residential, rentals, condos etc....
im an expert on free advertising and think i can drum up some business without too much problem
so far ive read good things about the ninja, and the recoil 3
im assuming lots of stair climbing with be ahead
but what about power demand...i would like to be able to plug into thier power without blowing their circuits etc..so im not sure what machine would be best for that
and also like the idea of the rotovac cleaning system....i was impressed by their presentation and im sure customers would be too if they were able to see that info...
and also intersted in grout cleaning as a side shoot....
lots of tile down here in florida and was wondering what most were doing to clean that as well!
any and all info will be greatly appreciated and ill add and refine more questions as i go..but wanted to jump in and say hello and get this ball rollin!
looking to spend a max of 5k.....hopefully significantly less initialy but would buy good equipment to start if highly recommended Approve

I would definitely recommend the SOLUS 500R mfr by US products. I bought a demo model and paid 4K for it. The regular price was 5K not including tax. Research it online and get back with me if you have any questions. I have been using it for 2 months and it is GREAT! I too have a pickup... it fits nicely... only weighs 110 pounds. VERY USER Friendly.

Again, the ignorance is overflowing and the stupidity of a constantly justifying a move borne of ignorance is blindingly hilarious! You research a WHOLE WEEK and now you're an expert!LOLLOLLOL

Here's a good example of machinery that is powerful , light enough to toss in and out of the truck with ease and can be mounted in the truck. New, you put nearly 2 grand back in your pocket to add a quality heater or market with. And customer service? Unparalled.

Willy,

Odd that none of your machines are Gold Rated by the Carpet and Rug Institute. Not saying they aren't any good, the specs look great.   I wanted a gold rated product. And I bought one after seeing a demonstration. Jump all over that if you want. I'm happy with it.

You could have bought a RugDoctor if you wanted gold. The CRI SOA is nothing but a money grab. Send them money and they will approve your machine. Their testing procedure is bogus. No real world dirt.

Of course this is just my opinionBig%20smile

The money grab wouldn't surprise me. But so you know, Rug Doctors are certified Bronze as an extractor. The only gold certification they carry is as a "cleaning system" When used with special products. I have no clue what a cleaning system means. But it requires 4 passes. RD only kicks out 32 PSI... that isn't good no way/no how.

Exactly what I'm saying. we've done some equipment testing in a controlled environment with real world dirt. Take my word for it, the RD doesn't even deserve bronze status. It makes the whole CRI testing program appear bogus. I wouldn't want my equipment tested and listed on the same site as something you can rent from the grocery store. It gives the consumer the wrong ideaOuch

Yeah. And another thing, RD brochures tell the consumer NOT to go over TWO passes to prevent saturation. So why in the hell does their gold cleaning system procedure require 4 passes??
Thats AFU.

CRI is full of shiznit. You pay tour money, we'll certify. Think about it. A POS like the RD gets a cert, while much better equipment is not listed. The claim is the mills won't recognize anything else and void warranties. Now the crux is, I went out yesterday to remove some loom oil and fix some roll crush for a large mill. I no longer have IICRC certs as when they jumped in bed with CRI, I boycotted. But I have the skills they need. Didn't matter then or now.

Wonderful and VERY TRUE comment, Willy.

I know and have witnessed "many, many situations" over our 30+ years where it has been proven that "Money talks................................and bullshiz  walks!"
