I haven't had cool cuffs yet, may look at them when things get busy in the spring, I've also heard very good things about them.

Jeff,

Do you use Cool Cuffs to connect your hoses?  If you're not already, they sound like a much better option over standard hose connectors, as they won't reduce airflow.

    Hey laser-
Something I did was maintain (1) 50' of hose and vac hose and made up 2 more sections of 25' hose and vac hose so as I get closer to the machine I can disconnect lengths of hose saves extra wrestling of hose just thought I would share that

That's my situation exactly. I'm waiting on my recoil 3XPS to arrive. I'm 46 and I'm simply not lugging a heavy extracter up and down stairs. You can break Your back and damage the extracter doing that. 200 ft of hose is really nice and will allow me to clean 2-3 story houses on the beach. I plan to normally use just a 50 foot section for most of my work unless I need the extra hose. 25 Ft of hose and dragging the extracter around from room to room? That's for the birds.   I don't think You can go wrong with a recoil.

Did your professors say what this balance/ratio is of lift:cfm?  The one reason I'm almost certain that cfm's will be higher is just look at truckmounts.  The lift on those things are in the 13-15 hg range often times, which is around 175-200" of lift.  Yet the cfm's go as high as 650.  Running at higher hg's is not recommended, nor necessary.

"you must also balance the lift for the amount of dirt it will lift..period. "
________________________________________________________

The definition of the word; balance, does not necessarily mean "equal" amounts. At least not in this particular situation.

YES, the RECOIL does have water-lift as well as CFM/Airflow; however, our emphasis is on Air-flow.

And, I might add the most important aspect and theory that exceeds the honorable Professor's at Rutger:
IT IS A PROVEN system for over 37 years.

Happy new Year!

Thats the system I'm currently using OP, HWE,and Cimex, covers pretty much all the bases. Exterior in line heater I have one Hydroforce 2000 not real good at heating when pushing 300-500 psi can't keep up with it. I usally fill the solution tank then vacuum bring in the rest of the equipment and I'm good and hot, seems to work well I use cross americans Formula 1 alot really like it, on real nasty's I boost with Oxi Blaster nice combo

Jeff, it is YOUR opinions I wanted too. Thanks man.

I have thought about the demon but really want something I can use across the board so-to-speak. I have an external heater...might even jump to propane latter.

I want to be able to flush out carpets when I need to. Mix and match both sides..OP and HWE.

I had a King Cobra with auto fill auto dump, pain in the butt dealing with cords, and then hoses on top of it and making sure the auto dump wasn't leaking someplace. Keep it simple. On's Ed's units by the time your tank is empty your heated water will be cooler anyway, gives you the opprtunity to add fresh HOT water, just my opinion.
