Hey guys, I have a problem with my RX-20 that is baffling me. I get no heat when using it, but I do get heat when using my standard wand and my stiair wand. I run a Steamway Powermatic if that makes any difference. What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Your RX20 is putting three times more water down compared to your wand and your heating system cannot keep up.

Something wrong with your powermatic, these units are usually very good at heating water, no matter how much you are using. Kerosene burners can heat water as fast as you use it.

I guess I need the heating system checked out.  I'm glad I still get good heat with the wand. I have never had any problems with heat before and believe me I crank it up. Any ideas what might be up with my heater?

They are like an oil furnace. It could need a filter and burner tip change. It also may be burning a little rich. I think there is also a flow control that ignites the burner on demand when you use water check it also.

This was really the first issue I have had with the powermatic and I seem to have resolved it. It is somewhat tempermental at times, but I keep up with the preventative maintenance. I love it for the heat because I do a lot of greasy restaurants. I can run the temp between 240-250f all night long with no problems, and I don't have to tell you what those temps do to dirt and grease!Evil Smile! The burner tip change seems to have worked because I'm getting insane heat with the RX-20 again.
