Usually, the ones with ammonia in them work well on synthetics. There are several. Fibreclean makes one. Bridgepoint makes one. I just can't remember the namesConfused

Whichever method you choose, you will probably want to follow with a cleaning of the entire sofa. Again, professional is the ideal way to go. That said, the following are the most common methods of self-cleaning a velvet sofa:

Use rag dampened with dishwashing liquid in water. Wipe down the entire sofa and allow to air dry. Use a soft hairbrush brushing the entire nap in one direction, then in the other direction. Repeat the brushing a few times as the fabric dries.

Use a commercial upholstery foam that can be vacuumed from the fabric without disturbing the nap.

If the stain is removed and the sofa is clean, you may want to consider treating your sofa with Scotchguard or other fabric protectant.

Prespray with Tide, use a pressure washer if it won't fit in a washing machine.

Drying it is simple.  I find the dryer being set to permanent press cycle is the best however if you cannot get the desired result try a light spray of premium grade gasoline before holding a match 2 meters away from the sofa.  This may darken the fabric but a strong bottle of bleach should fade those stains right away.  Watch your customer's eyes pop in amazement.

Thompsons Water Seal is the best fabric protectant on the market and is available in a wide array of colors to match the upholstery.

If you need any further professional recommendations don't be afraid to ask.
Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?
