What do you all think is more effective.

Handing out flyers door to door or

Going to the local strip mall and handing them out.

I have a sears right down the block from me.

Eskimo's hate snow.....they still live there

Floridians complain of the heat.......they still live there

Everybody hates Rogers.........yet they still do business                                         with them

Everybody hates commercials.....but they watch them

AS MUCH AS PEOPLE HATE TELEMARKETERS, THEY LOVE TO SAVE MONEY, AND CASH IN ON A FANTASTIC DEAL.

THERE ARE KEY WORDS TO USE WHEN MAKING A COLD CALL.........NOT EVERYBODY KNOWS THEM.

TO SELL A MARKET , YOU MUST KNOW THAT MARKET, WHEN A CUSTOMER SAYS NO.......THAT'S A GOOD SIGN, SHE/HE IS SAYING NO TO SOMETHING YOU SAID NOT YOUR PRODUCT.

Hmmmm.....

How big is your existing customer base?  If you have at least 100 existing customers....advertise there!

It is better to advertise to 100 warm prospects (that may even refer business to you)....than to advertise to 5000 cold prospects.  If you have the right system set up....NOBODY can dispute that.

I can dispute that..............IT'S MORONIC

Pepsi, Coke, Sears, Walmart, Visa, MasterCard, All businesses Telemarket or advertise to generate new customers to add to their data base.........100 customers in any business is peanuts.........

Think before you post a bunch of scrambled words.

I will have to tell you nightrider....your posts and replies are probably going to steer a lot of people in the wrong direction....but then again it depends upon whether you want to make $75,000 per truck or $175,000 per truck that you have on the road.

We are talking about the cleaning business here.  I am sure in other markets...telemarketing...under the right conditions is an appropriate avenue to follow.

We are not talking about Pepsi, Coke, Sears, Walmart, Visa or Master card.  In most instances on this forum I am taking it that most are small businesses....probably family owned and have between 1 and 3 trucks.

100 customers in a cleaning business with 1 truck on the road in their first year IS A BIG THING!

I know this because I turned 100 customers my first 6 months into over 600 within the next 10 months! ....without telemarketing.

You probably have had success in your view on things....if you do anything long enough you will get results.  Read up on the new ICS Cleaning Specialist mag...maybe it will be an eye opener for you...if not....good luck to you in your ventures.

If I told you that I made $10 my first year in my carpet cleaning business...you would say...I TOLD YOU SO...you should have telemarketed....

If I told you that I made over $100,000 my first year in carpet cleaning without telemarketing...you would say ....IMPOSSIBLE....so what's the use?

It's amazing how people like you build walls and put up obsticles and sticks in your wheels.

You may be smart enough to go into business for yourself put NOT smart enough NOT to set limitations to yourself and your business.

Your bar is set at a level and with nowhere to go but down.
