OK so I'm 40 today but one of my friends who works for ServiceMaster turned 60 last month and he still cleans 5-6 days a week.

How old will you be when you say NO MORE?

Actually just back from the Connects conference in Orlando and I just don't see a lot of young people getting into this business, almost all the attendees are middle aged or older.

Carpet Cleaning is failure in most young peoples eyes...

Todays young strive on being  Business Professional, Doctor, Lawyer, Dentist, CEO

more pen pushers no wand pushers.

They rather pay someone to do their manual labour, manual labourites like me are making a good if not better living than most pen pushers.

The tides are turning where manual labor jobs are making the doctor or the lawyer money....well in some cases anyways

The pen pushers make more money cause they don't pay the wand pushers for 90 days or more.

One cure is to give a higher bid, but a larger discount for 5 day paying.

For example, you can bid a job at 25 cents and offer 2% for 5 day pay, you won't get it.

On a 200 dollar job that is 2 dollars off..

For 400 Square feet you get 98.00

Or you can bid 35 cents and offer 30% off for 5 day pay.

On a 400 square foot job you get 98.00

They will jump at the second one!
