Stanley, I am new to this forum so do not know much about everything that you have posted. Although, in this topic you mention making money and making money. I am extremely new to the industry. I have only had 4 jobs. Can you give me some advice as to how to go about to get some customers? I am anxious to going out and cleaning more carpet! How do you get customers? |

Around here, there's only a couple of guys I know with employees. Both on hourly rates.
Multiple van operations are usually either a franchise, or worked by subcontractors who own thier own van, gear, chem, and split profits with the head office. $25 bucks per room, with a 3 room minimum. They don't move anything, they don't vacuum, they don't rake the carpet... heck, I don't even think they clean the carpet at that price! One company approached me and offered me 30% of every job. Another offered me 50% You could tell by the eyepatches and bottle 'o rum what they really were. Running them out of the seven seas, Allen |
