Well guys, I just came back from the IICRC Carpet Cleaning certification class.
During the class we compared various methods of cleaning, marking each on things like ease of use, performance, set up cost, ongoing expence, customer perception etc etc.We then tested all of the different machines, so that all the operators had a chance to try them.We used encap, bonnet, hwe both truck and porty, shampoo, dry foam and dam. While the scores were not scientific, they do show that bonnet is a viable means of cleaning... the scores were bonnett 31 dam 22 Shampoo 26 dry foam 25 encap 30 hwe 29 I know all the hwe guys will scream, but the main reason it scored lower was set up cost and ongoing expence. But what was more suprising, especially as I went on the course with the idea of moving to hwe, is that on a large dirty carpeted surface, that was split into different sections, the bonnet out cleaned them all... I am posting this on the bonnet and truck mount pages, I hope we can get a fair reaction from both sides Bub ![]() |

Hey pbm
I have been using the bonnet for a while now, its cheap to get into, and it works. Only issue is on some twisted yarns, it can untwist them, so stay clear. To be honest if the results of the individual tests were listed, truck mount came out top on one crucial vote, customer perception. And if you have carpets that are really trashed, then hwe is the way to go, so I intend to get either a good porty, or a decent truck mount, sell the ass out of the truck mount, but when possible use the bonnet. Good luck Brian |

I guess all the classes are different?
The guy who instructed our class was excellent, while we did not do any hands on burt tests, he didi do a lot of other stuff. If you get a chance to take one of his classes do, I have been in classes and confrences all around the world, and this guy made it enjoyable, fun and informative. I think he used to be a president of iicrc, he wrothe the hard surface stardard and training. His name is Dane Gregory. |

Historic Jean Bonnet Tavern is not only popular for their delectable menu and beautiful decore, the unique Pennsylvania ghost haunting entertainment is what draws vistors from all over the world. This famous Haunted Pennsylvania attraction is located in Bedford, PA,. Built in early 1700s, the area was once a trade route for Shawnee Indians. Records indicate that this same area was then under control of the French. It is documented that the building known now as Jean Bonnet Tavern was once a French Fort. Through years of research the pennsylvania ghost hauntings at Historic Jean Bonnet Tavern is historic in nature and have been proven true. |

ya i own a 100% pure organic carpet cleaning buisness. i make my own solution out of aged sea plants. it has such a high secretion of natural enzymes that it digest EVERYTHING in your carpet. it is only best as a left in cleaner, so the only clenaing that really works the best is the bonnet method.
