Thanks for that history of cleaning. LIke they say, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
So are you saying that padcapping is harder work than hwe? I don't mean just squirt and suck hwe, but the full hwe job? Does padcapping take longer than hwe, if both are done properly? |

PadCapping is VERY fast, it has more than doubled the speed of padding alone.
We average 150.00 an hour, AVERAGE... @.35 a foot.

Here are some reasons why encapsulation cleaning is considered to be a highly effective carpet cleaning method:
However, like any cleaning method, the effectiveness of encapsulation carpet cleaning can be influenced by factors such as the condition of the carpet, the type and severity of stains, and the skill and experience of the cleaning technician. Therefore, it is essential to hire a professional carpet cleaning service with experience in encapsulation cleaning to achieve the best results. When performed correctly, encapsulation cleaning can provide a superior clean and help extend the life of carpets. |

I'm positive about the negative...and negative about the positive.

Encapsulation cleaning has indeed been around for decades, but you're correct that it’s seen significant advancements in recent years, particularly due to improvements in polymer technology. Early encapsulation methods were often criticized for leaving residue because the chemical formulations weren't as advanced as they are today. Modern encapsulation products have resolved many of those issues, thanks to polymers that crystallize properly, allowing dirt and residue to be vacuumed away effectively after the cleaning process.
The resurgence in popularity is driven by its practicality for commercial cleaning. Encap cleaning is faster, uses less water, and dries quickly, making it ideal for settings like offices, retail spaces, and yes, hotels, where downtime needs to be minimized. It’s not surprising that so many chemical companies have introduced their own lines—they're responding to demand from cleaners who have found the method to be cost-effective and efficient. The key to success lies in using the right products and equipment. High-quality encapsulation solutions, especially those from reputable brands, are designed to deliver consistent results without leaving sticky residues. Pairing these with proven equipment like a Cimex or orbital machine enhances the process, as these machines excel at agitating the fibers to distribute the chemical evenly. It’s worth noting, however, that encapsulation is not a complete replacement for hot water extraction in all situations. It’s most effective for low to moderate soil levels and as part of a maintenance plan for commercial carpets. Heavily soiled areas or residential settings with deep pile carpets may still benefit from periodic extraction to remove embedded dirt. Investing in encapsulation is a good move if your goal is to expand into commercial accounts. That $3,000 investment could pay off if you market your services well and target businesses where fast-drying, low-moisture cleaning is a priority. To reduce your risk, try renting or demoing a Cimex or similar machine to test the process before committing. Encapsulation does deliver on its promises when done correctly, but like any method, it’s important to understand its strengths and limitations. As long as you use high-quality chemicals and follow the recommended process, you’re likely to see the results you’re looking for. |
