I've just been told that manufacturers don't recommend rotovac because of the rotating action, this is the first I've heard of it....
anyone else know anything about it? i'm interested in rotovac myself but want
to know if it has any issues.

If I walk into a filthy disgusting carpet or a want to make the carpet look new again
ROTOVAC . Just not on flat carpet. There is a gear I heard goes out which we should be able to do without sending it in. I have had mine for approx 5 years.
Makes a helluva difference , before and after shock like walking on a plillow after the carpet dries.

Mills do not like anything rotary, does not mean you can't use it.

I use my ROTOVAC to clean carpets in Boulder Colorado and I have never seen anything that cleans as well. The mills should like it since it exposes the fiber to heat longer which should help the memory of the twist reset a lot more effectively. It also pulls up the crushed nap. A carpet cleaner can become a Super Hero with a tool that lets him make wand passes at 200 RPM.
