I have a question regarding proper clean up of a certain kind of stain. The particular stain resulted from my cat vomiting on a fabric covered couch. The problem is that I did not catch it immediately after the event occurred but rather after a few hours (returning home from work). I added some baking soda to solidfy the mess, let it set for a while, and then vacuumed it up with a vacuum. I seemed to get 99.5% of it up but there is still a hint of stain present. What would you recommend?

Depending on fabric of course try in unseen area first, I have used Rick Gelinas Enacp Punch and Encap Spot (doesn't take much wet your white towel not the fabric) what doesn't come out wet will encap and vacuum out I've had huge success with it coming out and not leaving any to dry and vaccum. Make sure wahtevcer you used has been extracted first.
