Do what you have to do to make a dollar and I am sure your electrician friend can build anything but will it be UL or CSA Approved?
It scares me to be around boats working with potential wiring problems. Keep and airline ticket on you at all times for a quick getaway just in case.

My opinion is that there is my better value for the dollar out there these days.
Cheap can be good. After all most carpet cleaners view that as their 1st consideration as Ted says.
However there is some very good quality equipment out there that costs $2000 or less.
And for those looking for the strongest machines on the market, prices are now under $3000.00 now.
No need to settle on poor value for the dollar equipment anymore IMO.
