Since when are "eco-friendly" and "biodegradable" synonymous?

They aren't synonymous but, if a product degrades biologically then the foot print of said product is minimal and leaves behind minerals that the earth needs to sustain itself. By definition what is an eco-friendly product? Goods considered to inflict minimal or no harm on the Environment. I don't share the hippy definition of "eco-friendly or going green" which is to buy overpriced "Green" label products that have nearly or exactly the same effects on the environment as "chemicals".

Actually, you bring up a good point. What is "eco-friendly" in our (or any) industry anyway? I would say that IAQ is a larger part of it for us than, say, the carbon footprint. "Hypo-Allergenic" would probably be a more accurate term, but it seems that "green" in the cleaning industry is the catch-all. These should all be in our tags.

Hypo-Allergenic is something I can buy into. I understand allergies to chemicals as I have them myself (No fabric softener for me thank you),

And I think that "Hypo-Allergenic" is more accurate word. I mean that "green" could mean really lots of things. Thats why it's mostly used to advertise. People like being "green".
