If you intend to prespray and you have no intention of following the rules by neutralizing the carpet's ph, it will do. It's not power as much as convenience. The fact that it can't do something as simple as syphon the rinse which some older home units could at least do, I wouldn't ruin my reputation using it.

Well I have one and it's great for pump outs in
flood work. I've also used it to do some empty
apartments and it worked fine.
