I have been cleaning for a couple of years and have not had alot of problems with wick backs. But it seems since the Low Moisture craze all I read is wick backs. If that was the case most hwe cleaners would only have to book work for every other day because the days in between they would be recleaning. I would hope that low moisture cleaners are not using the same negative advertising to turn people way from hwe as CD is using. I personally thought they worked well together. The only thing I can think of a comparison is either having a sponge bath (low moisture) or a shower hwe. Both do the job they were intended for. But the person who keeps taking the sponge eventually either needs a shower or bath. Or maybe not?? But both the sponge bath and the shower have a place in our busy life styles. Is anybody with me on this???

No no no, you must use an OP machine, its the only way, you must avoid wick backs, OP Op OP. I don't need to take a bath or shower, I use a cloth, My pores are clean deep down. Honest |

Lee: Results may vary from person to person. I couldn't think of a simple comparsion that would high light that there is a place in this business for more than one system.

to try to keep an open mind I attended a class on tile & grout and also
encapsulation last month. After seeing the method, I can say that in a number of circumstances, having the knowledge and equipment of both methods( wet and dry) would have been helpful for me in the past 23 years. We tend to talk down the methods we don't know much about. When I first started I had a portable, out of ignorance I told my customers " How could a machine with 100 feet of hose laying on the cold ground in winter clean as well as my trusty portable. ????? How could it possibly have any suction left at 100 feet ?? How could the water stay hot? Well sometime I think we do the same about wet method vs . dry method we criticize what we do not know or haven't used yet. It's tough going back to a customer and explain why you have changed your tune on the proper method of cleaning. It is best to only talk up the positives of your system to a customer and not trash the compitition. for someday you may have to eat your words when you employ more than one system yourselves. In several of my wick back cases Encapsulation my have worked better, But at this point I don't have enough experience with Encap. to know which carpets or situations to use it on . Until it's to late. So I'll keep an open mind and try to learn from all of you. If you guys ever stop bickering at each other ! |
