First of all, you made 1 good point ( learning from others mistakes is smart ) Let's assume this is a site to buy and sell stocks and you ask advice from someone who says buy ????? stock and you loose $ 50,000.....is that Smart or Stupid. The point I'm trying to make is this.....You have a brain, you are not dumb ( I hope ) you can speak ( although probably with an accent, judging by your posts ) you know your market, and you know your investment capabilities. Every area is different, the way I do business in my area  cannot be done in your area. So my advice & experience means nothing to you. There are marketing books as well as other books on carpet cleaning that you can buy and read . By reading your posts you are a weak person, with no ambition or self confidence to get off your ass and think for yourself. Courage in business is trying something new without guarantees of success . You are only a follower of men, like the weakest dog in the pack always at the end of the line with their tail between their legs kissing the ass of the dog before them. Do you want to keep kissing and licking the ass of the man before you  all your life. Get some courage and start your business pay for your mistakes and profit from your good choices. This is the only way you will become a MAN & a BUSINESSMAN. When you will walk down the street you will be able to hold your head up high and your woman will look at you in admiration. It's your choice MAN or Ass Kisser.

first of all, i asked u not to post since u here not for helping. second, this forum not for argument its for exchange knowledge(i`m assuming). I will make the decision either I will do it or not so once i decide its me. I dont blame others. I have processed others information and experience already. what I`m doing here is gathering experience and information from people who do it everyday. I dont need some book that written by some marketing professor. people who do it have most updated and working methods. then I will use my brain as u mentioned to use it for my specific situation.if I were weak person I would not buy equipment without much experience. it could be stupid but i would not say its weak. I have started my business already. i wanted to be more successful and I want to fulfill to my promises to costumer that i will remove all spots and a carpet looks and smells like new. world has been changing, people understands now importance of sharing. google it u will find so many information. there r so many open source website u can use good free programs. everything is not money anymore. community and people helping each other unlike u being selfish and negative. u told me about wool carpet and warned me (maybe discouraged). then I will ask for information u telling me I`m weak because I ask. also what makes it difference if I had accent or not!!!
Again please dont post unless u sharing for good. I`m not here for arguing.Tongue

O.K.....sounds good. Sorry if I insulted you. You're right, I won't post with information for you because I am Stupid and have nothing good to tell you. I have no information that you can use because the world is changing so fast ,  that everything I know is already too old by the time you will get to read it. Carpet cleaning is a fast paced changing technology , only those who are up to date with the latest knowledge can succeed, the rest of us will not be able to clean a carpet as well as you. Wishing you success in your business . Good luck

Cleanex.....I can remember back in the day when my whole basement had that Yellow/Green/Orange 3" long Shag carpet . My Father-in-law bought us an Electrolux shampooer to clean it , the only thing that has changed in 40 years is that the brush on the shampooer got bigger.....  ( & I still use Tide ) lol  .

It really depends on the type of carpet you're working with, and the stains you need to clean out.  Some types of carpet need you to use tougher cleaning materials, others you need to be delicate with.  I would suggest checking out some carpet tips online to figure out what works best for your carpet.

Okay so I know that I am a little late, but here is my input.
1. Inspection (Written) Given to Homeowner for approval
2. Vacuum
3. Pre - Treatment
4. Agitation
5. Truck Mounted Steam Cleaning
6. Grooming
7. Post Inspections
Sometimes deoderizer and carpet protector are added.
My husband actually does 95% of the jobs, so I can't really help on that end of the cleaning field. HOWEVER, I can help you with your web site.
I built our web site
http://www.speedysteamer.net/ - Speedy Steamer from scratch.
I hope you don't mind but I am going to break your web site down.
How are you using the web site? Is it listed on business cards, and or discussion boards? If so that's fine, however if you're using your web site as a base for adverticement you're going to need to add meta tags for description and keywords.
Next your Page needs an appropriate title in the tags. Carpet Cleaning as a title isn't saying much since there are millions of carpet cleaners.
Your call to action is a good start to your page. You're going to want to have a phone number located somewhere on the first page. Big and bold.

Try to find a video that is a bit shorter.

That's it for now.
