I live in an apartment and have a few rug stains I need to clean. Is there a product that anybody would recommend for this? They are old stains that need be cleaned before I move out.

Your best bet is to get an experienced professional to do this. Many stains have a dye component to them, making removal difficult to the novice or homemaker.
