Recession Still Gripping Southern Ontario?

Just curious how things are?    My daughter works in restaurant and says winter was brutal for business...again......Owners blame recession.....

I know last year carpet cleaners on this forum were saying it was brutal. How is your 1st quarter of this year doing so far? 
I had a carpet cleaning customer recently who spent 1 month in Ontario doing  contract work for Ontario Government, he told me "the economy is brutal down there."

For personal reasons I would love to move to southern Ontario, but I keep hearing bad things about the economy.

I was checking house Prices in London and amazed at how cheap houses were.....Woodstock houses were laughably cheap.  (Compared to Alberta and Saskatchewan).......Affordable housing is luring me there, but if the economy is Sh^&*T. I will stay out west..... Only expensive houses I found were in the immediate GTA, such as  Mississauga, Port Credit, Milton, Oakville
