Mytee M5 does the Trick

   I read some of the debates surrounding the Recoil, Mytee M5 etc. and would like to add some recent developments surrounding my personal research. I recently purchased a Mytee M5 in hopes of replacing my infamous Hyper Hippo, the machine that caused raucous, emotional upheaval at tmforums.com. 

You see, for nearly a decade I have not used a portable and only recently decided to purchase a Mercedes Sprinter van to be set up with a portable. In the last several months, I have modified and refined the Hyper Hippo to a point that has rendered my truckmount vans unnecessary on most occasions.

Fast forward to this week, when I flexed my purchasing muscle and acquired what I have heard is the best portable at the present time, the Mytee M5. Flaunting two 3 stage vacuums (LMB2A's) in parallel with independent stacks, a 500 PSI pump, auto fill and auto dump, the M5 was supposed to be able to stand up to the performance of the Hyper Hippo and allow the Hippo to take a breather. 

Well, guess what? I'll tell you what, beloved fans. The Hyper Hippo welcomed the M5 to the fleet adn swiftly landed it flat on its a$$. I tried the M5 first in my house and became concerned about how much wetter the carpet was left in comparison to the Hippo. I put my hand over the hose cuff in order to compare the lift. It was not even close to the Hyper Hippo. A few days later, I opened up the M5 and noticed that one of its internal vac hoses was being crushed when the top section was lowered to a closed position. Once corrected, the machine had nice power, not overwhelming but certainly respectable and something that can be built upon.

At this point, I am going to attempt to develop a remote, exterior booster unit that I can mount two more vacuums in and have each one connected in series to the vacuums inside the M5 body in order to enhance the vacuum power of this machine.

I am satisfied in most other areas of the machine. It seems to be spacious inside and easy to work on. However, it lacks decals and graphics of any sort and appears to be a used machine because of it. The mobility is good, colors are tasteful and quality seems to be conservative but acceptable. There doesn't seem to be any of the design flaws of the Recoil but I will let you know about the reliability once I am able to put some hours on it. 

So far, it appears to be a delightful machine and I would highly recommend it.

	I trust the diversity in professionals who have given their review on other machines including the recoil and ninja, eclipse and diamondback personally but then I don't have some hidden agenda like others who have recently visited this board. Perhaps you all might want to consider OP. Stands for Out Performs.

	LOL! Mr Ed! The guy writes what appears to be an impartial review of his new M5 portable and you go slinging mud at him? I don't think the review is overwhelmingly positive to begin with but I can see where the end section hurts your feelings. The truth is, the list of people who are aware of your machine's shortcomings, is growing by the day. P.S. At least SoilLG knows how to spell agenda. LMAO!! Silly man.
