If a Canadian business is selling Canadian made goods in the USA, an onsite sale by a rep of the Canadian company, what are the requirements of the USA Government (IRS, customs, or any other govermental agency)?

What if the goods are made in the USA, and still sold by a Canadian business?

Do Canadians bringing goods into the USA need to declare them at the border?

I would think that the company would need to have some form of declaration, post a bond with the IRS or pay a tarrif or something.

Yes the Items must be delared

If the person is going to Demo them

Now you open a whole can of worms

Said person would have to post Bond

and invtory of said items

and then return of said items

bond would be returned.

Now if the person just came down and sold said items

even if the items are made here that person would be breaking customs laws by selling in person.

Such person could be in big trouble with US Customs.

and could be denied entry to the United States for the next 5 or ten years.

Hope this helps

Everything has to clear customs. This is done by a customs broker for a fee and duties must be paid.

Newsflash for the nutjobs up above(not you Slash, lol). This is easily handled when you use a company like UPS to handle your product. They ship it down to the distributor in the states for you. Said distributor then owns the goods and does the selling from their company when at the trade shows. Thanks to NAFTA, most goods are sent into the USA duty-free these days. If sent by ground a small brokerage charge is paid by the receiver of the goods. Shippers in our industry only pay the shipping charges to send it down.Last shippment of 100 glides I sent down cost only $55 to send them. Not a big deal. I never bring any products with me when I travel into the USA. No need to. My Distributors already have them. And when I buy any products while in the USA,that are going back to Canada, I have them sent back by UPS too. That is what I pay them for. This ain't Rocket Science you know. lol

Never sold no Glides at Winterfest, Terry. Never took any glides with me from Canada to Winterfest either. Picked those I had with me up at my US distributor in Oregon. The turboteck unit shown at San Diego 3 years ago  was a Demo model that was sent down ahead of me that I picked up there. Never would have sold it and didn't. As usual you are badly confused, again. Not the first time.

You sold a wand direct to Yaser

and you tried to sell your glides. What no buyers

the price on the Vent cleaning thing

the price just coming down all day long at the demos

You tried to sell it to me and others.

I think it got down to under 300 dollars US.

I guess the buss ride was just to long from Canada.

T...could you please tell us about the glides thet SuckerGlide KENNI sold to that nice young lady from MN.  You know...the ones that were desribed as 'CHAINSAW GLIDES'!

And don't BS us ken...you had a bag ful of glides at WF that you were trying to peddle...just like a guy with watches pinned to the inside of his jacket...PSSST...hey buddy, want to buy a SuckerGlide?

People...ken is NOTHING like he tries to show here.  He has broken down vans in his front yard and chickens in the back.  His 'shop, lab, and world HQ ' is his CARPORT!

Chuck:  I am not getting into the middle of the great debate. BUT!  Ken sent me a glide for my wand like he said he would. It fit very tight, done what he said it would made wanding easier, didn't change my drying times or make me any younger.  But the glide itself I have no complaints thus far.Guitar

Chuck:  Can I call you Chuck as we have never met.  I must have missed just what you do.  Are you a manufacturer, inventor, cleaner or what?  I know you certainly have a hard on for the glide man.  Is it personal, professional or what?  I know from reading your posts the last thing I would want to do in this life time it get in your way.  So that is all I have to say and good hunting.   I will say no more as I am to negative for the GTA lot.Guitar

Doug, nice to meet you online!

Please...feel free to call me Chuck, and fear not, I'm a nice guy, ask around the industry and you will find that out!  I am a cleaner based in the San Francisco Bay Area.  My beef with SuckerGlide is profesional, I actually have had a few drinks with Ken when we met (I bought of course, ne wouldn't buy a guy a glass of tap water), and he is a decent guy to chat with, IF you can get him to stop trying to sell ya something.  I'm not sure how to take the comment about getting in my way????

Good hunting...HAHAHA, it is easy pickings when you are shooting at SuckerGlide Ken!

CHEERS!
