I received a letter from a customer. It's worth repeating.

First let me thank you for your introduction to these 2 new products. I am an influential carpet cleaning organization in the GTA and have been for a long time.

After I had exhausted all my talent and traditional spot removers to satisfy a very profitable long term customer they including myself had become frustrated. No matter what I used I could not remove all the wine, coffee and liquor stains over a 20,000 sq. ft. office. I actually had them budgeting to replace the carpet on my expertise.

You told me to give it one more try with your Proxi (and or) Vanish. The products you claim to SPRAY AND WALK AWAY. I reluctantly did and it worked 100%.

Wow technology has gotten ahead of my older thinking. That night I awoke in a cold sweat thinking that the people have stuck with me through thick & thin because of my vast talent. And yet a newbie with a Loblaws rental unit could have walked in and made me look bad if he was armed with such products. Is this a good thing or not?

Too embarrassed to sign my name.

I like how he/she calls themself 'influential'

I bought a 'self neutralsing' coffee stain remover when I first started.  Didn't use it until about 3 weeks ago on some carpet fragments I had taken off friends.  The biggest reason I never used them was because a cc'er with 12 years of experience ridiculed me & told me that 'those things never work!'

I stained the samples up nicely... then put 'em in the dryer to set the stains (coffee, beer, tea, juice, cola, mud).  Warning: your wife will get upset if you do this.  Use a laundromat or leave 'em in the sun for a week instead.

Normal cleaning did not get everything out. I touched up a couple of spots with my reducing agent... and that worked nicely.  On the rest of the stains,  I put on the coffee stain stuff (instructions said that it continued to work until carpet was dry).  I didn't see an immediate result, so packed everything up.  Couple of days later, I went to move them and... the stains... gone.  Carpet samples included a couple of nylons, coir, and a wool blend. None of the samples were 'new' so none had much (if any) factory carpet protection.

i used the proxy on a new white carpet with a huge coffee stain, nothing else would take it out. i sprayed it on and walked away. the client called the next day and she couldn't believe her eyes it was gone. i've used it ever since. (word to the wise don't use it on wool it can brown the fibers.)
nothing is impossable. it just hasn't been done yet.

No... it's a coffee stain remover that comes in a powder form.  I haven't used it on a customer's place still.  I don't llike leaving stuff on a carpet in this manner.  If it was vacant, or if there were no kids, or if it was an office that would be unattended over the weekend, sure... I'm fine.  But the average residential?  I need to find out more about how exactly it self neutralizes.  If it's mostly hydrogen peroxide.... then that's fine.

danmarck,

The manufacturer does not as yet sell into the United States (Proxi). But it comes in 32 oz. bottles and one gallon containers. We would sell and mail to you a 32 oz. bottle. Hopefully it would arive alive as we sometimes have a slight shipping problem as part of the ingredients is Hydrogen Peroxide and requires a special cap for breathing.

$16.95 Canadian funds less approx 30% exchange + freight.

We accept credit cards.

Hey Ted and all,

Decided to post...it's been a while.

Didn't we discuss something like this at one time...more of a stain "vanisher" not remover. I guess it nukes the dye...so it can't be seen anymore...and isn't that what really matters...making the clien happy!

Oh yes..btw...I sent you the pic of the new decal on the TM...I must say people are turning their heads in the cars next to me...wish I had done it sooner. I better keep my eyes on the road and stop counting heads.

Ok let me go read some posts so I can get caught up to the latest gossip.

as always...Thanks again to you and all your staff for your continuing support & help.
