If Mats had a burning desire to win the cup he would ask to be traded to a contender. The fact that he says he wants to stay in Toronto makes some of the younger players lose respect for him. They know he is just waiting to retire and is all about the money and his future and NOT about the ultimate goal which is to win the Cup!
 
For this reason, Mats is the problem and he needs to get going. Trade or retire but get your OLD azz off the ice!
 
Younger players know he does not really care about winning! WTF? He's a loser on a losing team!!!
 
They WILL lose 4 straight - yes the next 4!!!

No NHL team has ever won the Stanley Cup with a European Captain...just look at the Ottawa Senators. I don't know what Sundin is like in the dressing room but on the bench he's quiet as a church mouse.

The corporate heads of the Leafs don't give a rats behind about winning. They continuously sell-out seating for every game. Their pockets are very well lined...the fat cats eat steak every night.
 
Don't hold your breath...the Leafs need to rebuild.
