(...."high cfm, but that's just to run long hoses...")
That statement is absolutely false. HIGH CFM/AIRFLOW that moves air extremely fast through a hose WILL ALSO carry the dirt along with it. Think of a Toronado that has airflow so strong that it will even pick up homes, cars, and anything else that may stand in its path. Happy New Year! Ed Valentine cross-american corp. |

Jeff, I am at a point wherein I am giving thought to a new porty. I run a mytee now with external heat when I need to really wash/flush something out. I also own but rarely use a Rotovac.
I am mainly a Pad guy but use HWE when needed. I have been looking at the demon (Rick) but have held off until I am abslotely sure what I want. I plan on driving more urin business and trashed out rental properties.... Can you share a bit more about how well your porty does regarding really dirty carpets? do you leave your unit outside? |

I have a recoil and had looked at the Eclipse but think about this, the recoil XPS can run long lengths of 2" hose due to the higher CFM's. From what I remember the Eclipse runs 1.5" hose and 25'. Wouldn't you rather leave your portable in one room and just run hose? No lugging the machine upstairs room to room, One of the best purchase I've made, plus customer support is second to none.

I wouldn't touch an Eclipse for even $300, unless I just wanted the parts. With that cfm, you won't get that waterlift unless your hand is over the end of the hose. The cfm is only 100. That's horrible.

ok, I'll admit I have a bane clene,an old prochem tm. I also have 3 ninjas and an eclipse...now my question is this. I need another power porty..recoil or the new quad vac eclipse. Ed's recoil lists high cfm, but that's just to run long hoses..the eclipse lists 340" lift..That's what gets the dirty water out...what do you guys think...I can get the quad vac eclipse,500psi,auto fill, auto dump, and chem feed under 3k.
