I need to replace a heat exchanger.I have a brand new double coil for a pressure washer propane heater.rated at 20,000 psi. my question is can I use this coil to make a heat exchanger. its fairly big 14"wide and 28" long. I would think there is enough surface area for sufficient water heating. the coil is made of schedule 80 1/2" pipe. Is 1/2" pipe to large for heat exchanger application? I am versed in welding and have access to all the fittings I need. has anybody tried this? all input would be greatly appreciated
