Hey, Just ordered your 17" easyglide machine and stairtool.  I need a new pitch to sell my services to commercial establishments.  I'm so use to selling my rotovac wand, I really don't know how to sale without it.  What is a good pitch for OP cleaning that works for you?  Do you have any flyers that I can use or template when I'm talking to resturant/hotel/apartment GM's??

I got money in the bank, but E on the tank.

This is a no-brainer.

Sell it as DRY CLEANING and double your price. $$$$$$

Don't laugh, call up a ChemDry carpet cleaner and get a quote.

I could not agree more Steamer, but how did they ever become the worlds largest carpet cleaning organization especially with high pricing and you should hear what they have to say about your method of cleaning.

Every one in our industry seems to have a convincing story to tell.  From where I sit and what I hear, most of it all sounds like a crock of bull.  At the end of the day after any method of cleaning, your customers would be appalled as to how much dirt and soil is still in their carpets.

How many professional carpet cleaners offer for assurance the hospital white towel test as to your customer guarantee of proof that you have it CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.

The truth is no one could afford to do it.

The answer to Chem Dry’s Growth is

Ream;

I suggest calling Johnny G and get his opinions regarding promotion. He's the one that will know.

Ream:

Sorry I haven't been on the boards lately.

We market several ways, sure Dry in one hour is important to a lot of customers, but when we take a NEW call from a client and they tell us who or how they previously had it cleaned we openly GUARANTEE it will be better than the last time they had it cleaned or they OWE NOTHING. We have NEVER had a problem with people wanting their money back or not wanting to pay.

Another thing we sell is how easy it is for THEM, we are there just a short time and they can walk on the carpet while we are there and as soon as we leave, no tabbing of furniture to remove or nothing. THEY find this a benefit as their carpets are ready for use immediately.
Converting HWE customer to VLM customers for 30 Years!

Johnny G = John Guerkink(?) = Padman

How do you sell it?

Use it first.

Get some experience with it.

See the results for yourself.

Then use your your own experience to sell it cos after you start using it you'll understand how good it can be, especially when used in the right situation!

Your own experience with it will have you selling it as much as you can anyway as believing in your product/service is always the best sales tool; often it's your own enthusiasm for something that will sell it! Wink

FreshAire, do you use it for both commercial and residential?  I see Cimex and others talking about commercial and with a look on their face that is saying "I wouldn't recommend it for residential".  Does it work equally well on both commercial and residential in your opinion?

And a happy and prosperous new year.
Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?

Hey Duck
Answer is yes, I use it for both commercial and domestic situations. In commercial, particularly on CGD's, HWE doesn't doesn't stand a chance for both speed and operator fatigue... and Padman reckons his machine is faster again than mine!!

In a domestic situation, the sheer bulk let alone weight of the Cimex makes it an impractical and much less efficient tool, so O.P. has my vote from either side of the equation!

As far as speed goes in a domestic situation, for a moderately soiled carpet, it's faster than HWE, but if you have a nasty one, that's where it falls down a bit as it gets much slower to concentrate on a heavy stain with OP than HWE, regardless of what machine you are using.

Having said that tho, both systems work well, you just have to learn to pick and choose which jobs to use which system on, and don't be afraid to use both for an absolute ULTIMATE clean that will surpass any expectation...

"How many professional carpet cleaners offer for assurance the hospital white towel test as to your customer guarantee of proof that you have it CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN."

With the combo method, that will be a simple guarantee to achieve!!
