Hi is there any special procedure for cleaning silk carpets instead of having them dry cleaned.

SILK ~~ THE FIBER OF KINGS!!
You can lightly wet clean silk.. Dont soak it ...
Its the strongest of the natural fibers.. slightly weaker when wet..
It will absorb moisture fast and cleans easy..
Dont use a high pH solution.. dont use acid rinse..hydrogen peroxide can be used safely..
Inspect to see if the Sun's been shining on it.. You might notice yellowing and deterioration.. Silk is weak to the Sunlight.. You want to make sure the Customers knows about any defects.. Or its YOURS!!
