It changes because some hoses have a greater leakage rate than others. But they all leak to one degree or another.

on a water lift gauge the lift does not drop going from 25' to 50' hose.

water recovery may drop but lift does not with my gauge.

lift changes from hose to hose of same length this I know for sure as I have done many tests.

hope I'm making sense

That is true. That is why I have invented many things that people have told me can't be done. It is only impossible until someone accomplishes it.

You must have had an air leak in the 25 ft section you were using. The loss rate per ft is an established physics fact. It does not vary unless you change something else about the airflow you are measuring.

I know it does not make sense but I also know what I am recovering so to me the water lift equation is not true and this is a constant recovery occurance not just 1 or 2 times as a test. I switched to 50 ft hose years ago and it works for me go figure.

It could have something to do with not measuring right. 25 ft of hose will ALWAYS have stronger vacuum than the same hose that is 50 ft long. Lift falls off at the rate of 1/4" WL per ft, so the extra 25 will drop the lift by 6"WC.That will decrease the recovered amount of water from the carpet, not increase it.

vacuum
why do I get more water recovery with 50 ft of 11/2 hose than I do with 25 ft of 11/2 hose?? I have a ninga with 2 x 3 stage vacs. could it have something with the volumn of air moving
