The great thing is you don't have to move furniture....It's all portable work and most times in the days.....

I chalk it up to being your time plus soap..... so it's pretty easy...each room has it's own washroom so it's easy to get and dump water...

The only thing I didn't like...the head house keepers are hard to please.

the other only thing is... you have to wait 30 days net for your money some hotels up to 60 days...

try and get paid right away... or net 15

your right mr steamer head of house keeping can be a pain in the ass. if your doing a hotel with 400 rooms and they come to you and say, remember that room you did 3 weeks ago in 274. the stain is still there by the bed. you won't remember if it was there or not, it could have happened the night before. so you clean it anyway. keep em happy right.

nothing is impossable. it just hasn't been done yet.

With what it cost today to stay in a hotel room you would think you could make good money cleaning there.

Hotels are cheap, but deodorizing this is something different. If they can't get the odor out they can't rent it.

Fogging or ozone can make you a hero and money in Hotels.

That's ok Buffer it's just that a member of this forum thought the same and I told him that he was imagining things. Well maybe not in those words.

Looks like I owe him an apology. Is your wife in the business and maybe she should come on and say a few things. I sure would like another women's opinion once in a while.

Mr. Steamer:  What you have to do is build in the waiting time on the room charge.  When we use to do rooms we had a sign off when the room were cleaned the same with restoration.  If it was satisfactory at time if cleaning than if it is not now that is not my problem.  I am not on a maitainance program I am here for 1 cleaning.  But since I have no cousins in the motel business I don't bother alot wiith motels etc.Guitar

I have recently started on a hotel of 65 rooms. I have not done them before  & commited to $25/room. This may not be a bad price if you can do more than 10 at a time. The owner of this hotel only wants to do 10 at a time. To make a long story short I only average 37.50/ hour after he picks apart every room.  Next year $35/room at the least.

Harvey:  I hope when you say 10 rooms it is a block of 10 room. What I mean is the rooms are all in one area not spread out all over the building.  If there all over than you need more than $25.00 because half of your time is spent moving.  But I guess it is what the market will bear in your area.  If you can't make any money at it don't do it.  Now what I mean is if you are 1 man and you are netting $37.50 per hr. that may not be bad considering if that is the norm in your area how much driving would you be doing to make $250?  I have to quit.Guitar
