Last Tuesday my fuel pump went out on the van . I called two companies, the first one hesitated and seemed to be making up his price on the fly. I didn't trust him. So I went with the other.

At 1 AM he drops my van off at the car dealer and I ask if he can give us
( Myself and my tech) a ride home. He says ya sure and added 50.00 to the bill. less than 1 mile for me and my tech lived 1/2 mile from his shop.

I know he has got to run a business but it's the kickem when their down attitude I didn't like I would gladly pay if he had had a few people skills and made me feel like I was getting something for my money other than a screwing.

The bill was 200.00 towing and over 835.00 for the fuel pump.

So no 15% discounts this week!!!!!!!

I have a 2000 with 80,000 miles on it. It's on it's third fuel pump. POS.

Did you buy GM or aftermarket?

GM, came with lifetime on the pump, but the catch is the labor isn't covered just the pump and the labor is a major part of the bill because my silencer is in the way of the gas tank which is were they hide the fuel pump now days.

You get your vehicle back and you feel like you have gained nothing for your $1000.00. It stinks but life goes on.

We need to keep those prices for carpet cleaning up. " and not be afraid to charge " .

I have a friend who is the parts manager at the GM dealership. The pump costs me $473 CAD. Install was $250. No lifetime warranty
