With the ever growing concern for the environment many carpet cleaners are now offering environmentally friendly cleaning products compared to chemicals. Do you offer this service? Has it made a positive influence to your business?

Ted - I use the Ultrachem line, which has the Environmental Choice logo on the jugs(everyone LOVES looking at jugs:-)). I do point that out to my clients and they seem to appreciate a safer approach to their personal environment. When are you going to open a store out here on the left coast? Edited by Willy Parsons |

I'm also a user of Ultrachem,it's a nice selling feature that it is environmentally friendly although I have to admit that I got hooked on using it because it works great. |

I Should check to see if Janitor warehouse carries such products out here on the west coast. Do you guys find that these cleaning agents work just as well as the chemical cleaning agents? Just curious. I use a lot of Esteam, Bridgepoint, and Pro chem products. Take Crare! Ron H.

Ron check out Campbells distributors in Vancouver. www.campbelldistributors.com I believe. They carry Ultrachem..Only thing I find is that you must use all the Ultrachem products together as recommended. I've used alot of Prochem,Esteam products as well. Ultrachem is just as good IMO and far more versatile.(use it for carpets, uphl, etc.) their prespray when used as a spotter will remove various stains including gum, grease, urine and believe it or not....it will actually REMOVE rust stains. It's not cheap stuff but I like it,,,more economical in 5 gallon pales though. |

I have a question. Is everyone applying the cleaner prior to cleaning? If not than can you say you are leaving the home better or worse after your cleaning if you are putting the cleaner threw the unit? What about the rinse. I think the cycle is the most important.

Its strange Andy and Willy but my techs say that Clean by Ultrachem gives them headaches as a bonnet cleaner and chest pains through a hydroforce. We have stopped buying it as a result. We use Ecogent, Responsible Care by Masterblend and Baby Safe as our primary cleaners today. If you guys who use Ultrapac, I hope you use the LVC version, the regular is deadly. |

If you are considering Enviro products don't overlook Ecogent and Benefect. There are two types of Enviro products. The ones that claim they are friendly and the ones that actually have government and third party seal of approval. Talk is cheap. |

in bc the use of ultrachem usually depends on whether or not u do any work for british columbia building corporation (bcbc). BCBC has mandated that all carpet cleaners servicing their buildings must use ultrachem products and have even provided a purchasing system for their preferred contractors. who's brother in law works where i ask u?
