Don't need msds for tide or anything else that you might buy in a grocery store.

Not true Don.

If there is a hazard involved with the product it has to be labelled and an MSDS made available.

You could be fined for carrying bleach bought at the store for example.

I've never been asked either, but if its on my truck I got a sheet on it.  Back in punch a clock, I had the task of keeping the MSDS file up to date.  It's not easy when suppliers look at you sideways when you ask them to send you one.

Still it's not much trouble, so what if no one ever looks at it.  It's there.

By the way I don't think saying you got something at the grocery store is going to cut any ice with whatever authority asks IMHO.

CCT, UFT, OCT, CRT, RRT, WRT, SMT, FSRT, JTC, JSR, JWR, MTC a great life, if you don't weaken.

The consumer products have their own warning labels and regs.

Nope, consumer labelled products for consumers.

Products for businesses with employees means they must be WHMIS labelled.

I don't know how it is in Canada but in the US it goes like this:

http://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_tabl e=STANDARDS&p_id=10104

Section B paragraph 3

It's like insurance, God forbid, if a customer finds me passed out on the floor the it would be nice if the paramedics could find sheet on what I have been exposed to.

I know it's an extremely slight chance, but for no more trouble than it is, whats the problem?
