Hello everyone Happy Holidays to all.

Here is the question.

How do all of you go about getting non residential jobs. For example:

Day Care Centers, Resturants, Hospitals, etc. etc.

Thank you everyone for your time.

Watch the telemarketing....it can hurt your business image.

The easiest way is to do this....

When you are out and doing business with others....(eating out...going to the movies...renting movies...<you fill in>

Go to the manager, hand them a card and say (make sure that you are dressed presentable! Preferably khakis and a collared shirt with your business information on it)....

"I have been doing business with you for a while now....I would like to know if I could give you a No obligation carpet maintenance quote.<?>"

9 times out of 10...they will say yes...unless they have in house cleaning.

To Your Success,

Kris

Well....everbody reading this post....take your advise from somebody... Nightrider... I am not really sure if you are in the field or not but there are major consequences that somebody new can fall into if they just pick up a phone and start calling ....sorry....telemarketing....

How about the "No Call List"?  If you call somebody on the no call list from the phone book....guess what....oops....$10,000 fine!

Oh yeah...sorry I forgot, you can pay a couple of thousand dollars to the feds to get an updated list of the "no call registry" but then again...somebody starting out has to watch costs don't they?

The rock that I crawled out from under is the one that works the majority of the time.

<for those that want to telemarket> It does work! You have to call 100 people to get 1 maybe I will try you.

<for those that want to take my adise> If you go out and use my technique...worst case scenario of some place that you do business at...you will speak to 10 businesses and get 2 appointments to give an estimate.

What seems like a better use of your time?

But then again....I will go clean a carpet....I will clean the carpet that I got the contract for because I know what works....

You know what Kris...........Put on your Khakis coloured pants, and your collared shirt with your logo on it...........pick up a phone and start calling customers

At the end of the day I can call 100 customers get at least 60 appointments to give a demo and I didn't even build up a sweat.........

Better check under your armpits there Kris..........your Khakis pants look and smell like crap and your shirt is all stained with sweat, and you smell like a sewer

"DO NOT CALL LIST" DOES NOT EXIST FOR BUSINESSES

FOR RESIDERTIAL THERE'S A WAY AROUND IT, BUT I WON'T TELL YOU CAUSE YOU'RE AFRAID OF THE TELEPHONE

Wow!....that is all that I have to say about my first day experience with this forum.

I wish you luck with your 60 appointments!

When you realize that success is elsewhere...you go there... or for some...you don't.

The only thing that I have to say that if you treat your customers the same way that you treat others on the forum <and I have seen your other posts>...I am suprised that you have a single customer!

Nightrider...the only thing that I have to say to you is that if it is working for you....GREAT!....keep on keepin' on!

To Your Success,

Kris

PS<for all of the other readers>...1 out of 50 of you reading this post will be successful in telemarketing....if you don't believe me ...

1. open the phone book

2. call 500 companies/people

3. let me know your statistics of how many jobs that you scored...<actually ....post it here on the forum!...then we can let the numbers talk>

Be yourself, be honest, be ethical and read books on sales and marketing....all of your answers will come to you through your gained knowledge.

MOST OF ALL...listen only to successful people.  Nightrider maybe a millionaire for all I know....do your research and listen to him at your own risk...myself as well.

I wish you all of the Best Success!

Kris

That is intersting that you say that!....lol....you are playing roulette aren't you!....lol

"There's a way around it...."

Now that sounds like a person I want to do business with!

I can see it now...."there is a way around cleaning underneath the furniture"

"there is a way around placing blocks and pads underneath the furniture"

"there is a way around using carpet protector..."

And I will also tell you that you can do business ethically or unethically....the ethical companies will be around for hundreds of years....the unethical companies will be around for a couple of years....

Who May or May Not Call?

Who is covered by the National Do Not Call Registry?

The National Do Not Call Registry applies to any plan, program, or campaign to sell goods or services through interstate phone calls. This includes telemarketers who solicit consumers, often on behalf of third party sellers. It also includes sellers who provide, offer to provide, or arrange to provide goods or services to consumers in exchange for payment.

The National Do Not Call Registry does not limit calls by political organizations, charities, or telephone surveyors.

For more information, please see FTC INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS below.

As pulled from the "do not call website".

Oops....I made a mistake....the fine is $11,000

Quote

A consumer who receives a telemarketing call despite being on the registry will be able to file a complaint with the FTC, either online or by calling a toll-free number. Violators could be fined up to $11,000 per incident.

Kris , you sound like a too nice of a guy for me to keep brushing your feathers the wrong way.........Let's get down to business......

I used to run a telemarketing business with over 400 employees at any given time, since the " No Call List " came into existance, we just changed our program to be in the format of surveys.

Secondly, if you have done business with, on behalf of, or in any direct or indirect relation through 2nd 3rd 4th or even 5th party.......the call is legal, and not subject to recourse.

I'll do something for you Kriss.......tell me where you are and I will make exactly 25 calls..... no more ...no less on your behalf and I;ll prove to you that you will have at least 20 to go give a demo to.....

Then you will have to post the truth about telemarketing and how it helped you in your business.
