Here's my rig, 2001 E350 Super Duty, 2003 Boxxer421 (3800hrs). I have changed some of the equip, I use the Hydrosonic wand 1 /34 inch, a Royal Vacuum, Procaps for pre-scrubbing, Drymaster for upholstery. I try to keep the van neat and clean as possible. Nothing like a cleaner showing up in a messy vehicle to distract the customer.

Well...just starting out...I use my 2004 Envoy XUV to get my equipment around in:
As you can see I use magnetic signs on it until I can get a used Astro cargo van or chevy 3500 van. Hopefully that'll be in 2010! |

I saw that van the other day at the mall and the wrap is actually peeling off.

Thats a sweet wrap, but the red lettering on the blue backround is hard to read.

Like the elevated real for maximizing space. I seen a truck with it suspended form the roof for easy sluicing and space saving.

Some of the time, the particular cleaner that we built this rig for, has his wife work with him as well on the cimex doing prescrub or some encap - hence the rails.

So I take it you've never used a cimex before.

Great pics! I don't have any of mine but my freaking van burnt up (dash only but still drivable) so I just bought a new one. I'm going to leave it all white. I've realized I don't get too many calls off of the van, not enough to justify the cost of wrapping it. And I even stopped with the uniforms. It's just a thin black T-shirt, kaki pants and a company hat with logo. MUCH more comfortable than my button up company shirts.
Customers don't care about all of that, they just want someone who is going to do a good job. I've actually seen my in home sales go UP when not in uniform and since I pulled the logos off of my van. Just some food for thought. Yes, these are beautiful vans and draw attention. But like the Swan van.. no offense, but WTF? Swans and carpet cleaning? When you're driving 60 miles down the highway you stop and look and say "oh, what a nice picture" but by then you're already two blocks away from the van before you get to realize it's a carpet cleaning truck. I say, if you're going to wrap it, keep it short, sweet and eye catching. On another note.. the box vans... hoo hoo hooo! Those are BAD AYYYYAAAASSS! I love em! I was considering getting a box van but I found a SUPER CLEAN 1994 Ford E-150 for $1600. Runs beautifully and the owner took maticulous care of it. I couldn't pass it up. Especially for the money. I have 5 more payments on my truck mount too... then hell, I'll be rolling scott free! Now I have two vans though.. one for Dehu's and blowers and the other for equipment. Not too bad :D. And no payments on either ;). going to look for another $2000 clean van. I'll post pictures in the next couple of days and during the (self) install. Going to hit it in the morning ;). Should be fun! |
