yes a 50 gallon fresh water tank and on most jobs, the client is more than happy to offer their water source for additional fresh water. I'm not sure about up in Canada, but as a contractor, i don't usually have jerk customers causing a problem about cords plugged in or using their water. Of the few i had, i recommended that they pay the higher price for a franchise company to come in, one who can afford to buy the "tools" for their specific job and they promptly change their mind and let me use their water/electricity.

LEARN TO SAY NO TO WORK YOU ARE NOT EQUIPPED FOR! and go out and make money on the jobs you can.

I am walking away with commercial accounts that TM companies have had for years. Less overhead, quicker response times, and i'm using their electricity and water. Ed V must be doing something right, no complaints from me!

FYI - The recoil 3 could be carried around in a hatchback, so the vehicle is not a good excuse for not getting a portie.

Ed...I'll tell you ken's 'secret'...the reason it runs on so little power is that it only exists and runs in ken's mind, which has....very little power!

Thats because most times with a TM on commercial carpet the operator tends to over wet. you don't need 500 to 1000 psi on commercial carpet....200 psi is more than enough

if you have two guys on the job a porty can be just as fast as a TM with two guys on the job.

You're not walking away with the jobs because your recoil is better than a TM, you're getting the jobs because you are a better cleaner.

Uh, DLD(Dumb Like Dennis), the new machine WILL BE CSA approved. That takes about $7000 more dollars to get done, but it is being done.

agreed, Tm's are definetly more powerful, i'm just saying a portable business can still be profitable. I tend to walk away from jobs that i can't handle.

But not cheap enough to clean Mr. Patel's motels. If you want that job you have to agree to work for food. Principally, hot Curry, eh?
