    Posted: 10/March/2005 at 11:26am

I sub for one company that pays 75% ,great pricing structure and steady accounts to service. I got called by another, but they want to pay 50%- paint my van to their colours, supply everything, and give them first priority, reasonable rates, but a little on the low side. PLUS- ALL my personal accounts will be bought up by them.(They got my name soliciting a faithful business I've served for years.) I have changed my undies five times from peeing myself laughing at these idiots.

I digress...

What is a fair sub rate for a turnkey operator?

Certified to be certifiable.

if you are getting personal business, then why sub for someone else?...do it all for yourself and collect 100%...any time you clean as a sub for someone else is time you could use to build your own business...

45% is the fair rate.

Pay anything more and you will worry about your pay cheque.

A fair rate is what is negociated between the sub and contractor.  As usual different areas may mean different percentages.  You cannot bunch all rates to all areas  for carpet cleaning as the same holds throught for  or even restoration for that matter. One price does not fit all.Guitar
