This is how I do mold removal on sheetrock walls.

Remove the sheetrock
paint the wood with mold resistant paint.
Fog out with antimicrobial
Leave air scubbers and dehumidifiers

Yo..hold up wait a minute...let Steamer put his 2 cents in it.

MOST customers are clueless...most adjusters are clueless...no one knows what they are paying for.

Do we have national standards ????

This has nothing to do with Lee's insurance....Lee's insurance has just become aware for the dangersDead

There is a whole protocol involved. thats where the hygenist comes in. Now that also depends of how many sq. ft. of effected area you are working on. Do you need containment are you wearing the proper ppe is there excess to an exit or do you have to build a contasinment to get the junk out without affecting the rest of the non effected area. There is alot of variables, a little more than R&R and leave a N/A machine?

This is how it's suppose to be done... but 99% of the time it's not.  I think it would only be done this way if it was IICRC headquaters...LOL

To tell you the truth ...most times the insurance only wants to pay for a band-aid job.... most times thats what the insurance adjuster authorizes you to do.

the standars are put out the window.....the customer knows no better....the guy who's doing the job smiles...and the insurance company saves money

Big smile
