I  was wondering if anyone has a certain type of shoe they could recommend for Carpet Cleaning... I've been through everything but I have found something good to clean in....

Running shoes are nice and soft light on the feet but they don't hold up good againts the soap...

Hiking shoes are a bit stronger, but still they fall apart...

I just bought a 200 dollar pair of rock ports but they hurt me feet and back

any ideas????

Our tennis shoes last a couple of years. I have size 16 1/2 and buy whatever I can find in that size, usaully find a sale and by a half dozen pairs, but usually only pay about 20 bucks a pair.

Mr. Steamer: We wear duckies, good ones not the $19.95 ones.  They last quite awhile.  I believe on eariler Juee Bishop movies he wore duckies.  That is not why we wear them.  I find them easy to get off when I am giving estimates etc.Guitar

I think gumboots are the only thing that would last LOL

don't you wear booties???

shame shame.

I buy new runners every 4-6 weeks so I don't tend to spend much on a single pair any more

Steamer,

The comfort you will have to work out. But I can think of nothing more impressive than a carpet cleaner wearing white deck shoes. Buy 12 pair if you have to keep them clean and keep impressing your customers.

Some people just don't get it.

I have a free shoe shine machine in my showroom for customers to use. A sign beside it says:

YOU CAN'T CLEAN CARPETS WITH DIRTY SHOES!

You would be surprised how many customers want to actually argue with me that they can clean a carpet with dirty shoes.

What's dirty shoes got to do with it.

Well I like to have an inside pair... those always look new.... but deck shoes are flat and hard on the back... but I think you've told me this story before Ted...

I bought a pair of rockports two days ago... no laces water proof.... I don't like them...

so Today I got a pair from Marks work wear house... steel toe lawn shoe...I try these... didn't see any duck shoes quack quack
