with the mount in low you are able to do upholstery. Most people around here run it in high unless they are doing upholstery. Are you worried about something or just being curious?

kane, what rpms is high to you (3000) and what is low (2000)?? I agree with Gervis...

don't have a r.p.m. gauge.
it just seem's like low is very powerful; so just not sure what's the deal?
guess i'll have to go to a supply store .talk to them ,
thanks guys 4 your help
low seem's like about 25 h.p. (just a sound guess)
& high has to be of course 31 h.p.
i know most machines last longer if not ran at the max all the time.

High is 3000 rpm
Low is 2600 rpm We run on low all the time. Never a problem in 2500 hours |
