Dry powder is a good cleaner if you have the right equipment.

Walk up in there let them know your Gully right off the bat. Then spray on some wool cleaner then rinse it off with your wand and suck it up. Then walk out of there like they say in the army Let go of your *ocks & Grab your socks & walk the hell out of there. Cash in hand!

1st thing is dust that rug. I bet it is packed full of powder dust and dirt.
flip over on a sutable surface preferable with a grate to allow soil to drop and then run a rug badger or cbm over it a few times. I have even heard of people dusting with their OP machines.

Once the majority of the dry soil is removed flip back over vacuum in all 4 directions.

check for color fastness

asuming color fast then pre-spray with you favorite neutral cleaner, scrub, then rinse with TM or porty then post pad.

Place fans to dry repeat if neccesary.

If not color fast you could set the dyes if you know how or clean with dry powder.

Dusting 1st will make this rug cleaner then it has been since new!

Thanks for the advice, however this rug is in the middle of the lobby and its 525 sq. ft so whatever we do has to be stationary, we have been pre spraying with a wool prespray and then spraying with a wool safe rinse and then extracting,,but this rug is in a building that has lots of social events and I need a way to keep it up so that these events don't spot the rug.

good idea lets seal the different layers of dirt in??? Daily super dry soil removeal might be an alternative. Maybe encap and lots of vac after may make for a good maintaince program.
