YOU MAY FIND THIS HARD TO BELEIVE BUT I REALLY ENJOY CARPET CLEANING AND ITS BEEN MY CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE SAID MY THEIR CARPETS HAVE NEVER LOOKED THIS CLEAN NO MATTER WHO HAS CLEANED THEM BEFORE. I,VE DO A LOT OF WORK IN MOBILE HOME PARKS DONT LAUGH THE NEW ONES SELL FOR 250THOUSAND AND THEY RENT THE LAND FOR $600.OO A MONTH.ANYWAY MANY OF THE UNITS HAVE OLD CARPETS 20 YEARS OR OLDER. AND I KEEP CLEANING THEM EVERY YEAR, I,VE BEEN CLEANING IN THIS PARK SINCE 1981, AND IF THIER STILL ALIVE THEY CALL ME. IN 94 I HAD A NEW WHITEMAGIC SLIDE IN WHAT PIECE OF JUNK ALMOST WENT OUT OF BUSINESS . THEN I BOUGHT THE HRDRAMASTER 47 D GREAT MACHINE SO PROBLEMS BUT THEY FIXED THEM I WORK ALONE AND I,M STILL LEARNING SO KEEP IN TOUCH JACK Z. CAPE CORAL FLORIDA

High is 3000 rpm
Low is 2600 rpm

We run on low all the time. Never a problem in 2500 hours

don't have a  r.p.m. gauge.
it just seem's like low is very powerful; so just not sure what's the deal?
guess i'll have to go to a supply store .talk to them ,

low seem's like about 25 h.p.   (just a sound guess) 
& high has to be of course 31 h.p.  
 
 
i know most machines last longer if not ran at the max all the time.

with the mount in low you are able to do upholstery.  Most people around here run it in high unless they are doing upholstery.  Are you worried about something or just being curious?
